Blue Marlin Beach Resort Policies - Everything You Need to Know

At Blue Marlin Beach Resort, we strive to provide you with an unforgettable island getaway. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please familiarize yourself with our policies and conditions.

• Rates: All rates are quoted in US dollars (US$) for a minimum of 2 guests. Personalized quotations are available upon request.
• Inclusions: Package rates exclude alcoholic beverages, unless explicitly stated in a Special Offer.
• Transportation: Our resort boat schedule is as follows: 3:00 PM from Dangriga to the island, and 8:30-9:00 AM from the island to Dangriga. We are flexible with arrival boat schedules depending on international flight arrival times.
• Minimum Stay: A minimum stay of 3 nights is required year-round, except during Christmas/New Year's Week and Easter, which require a 5-night minimum. We recommend a minimum stay of 4 or 5 nights year-round to fully enjoy your experience.
• On-Site Charges: All on-site purchases can be charged to your room and settled upon check-out.
• Gratuities: Staff gratuities are not included in package rates and are at your discretion. A suggested gratuity of 10-15% of the package cost, shared among all staff, is appreciated.
• Rate Changes: All rates are subject to change without prior notice.

• Deposit: A 30% deposit is required within 14 days of booking confirmation to secure your reservation.
• Final Payment: The remaining balance is due 45 days prior to your arrival.
• Payment Methods: We accept VISA, MasterCard, and international wire transfers. Please note that charges are made in US currency and may be subject to international transaction fees.
• On-Site Payments: On-site purchases and incidentals can be settled upon check-out using VISA, MasterCard, or cash.

• Written Cancellations: All cancellations must be submitted in writing and confirmed by the resort to be valid.
• Cancellation Fees:
• Cancellations made 61+ days prior to arrival: $100.00 per person plus 5% bank charges.
• Cancellations made 46-60 days prior to arrival: 50% of the deposit is forfeited.
• Cancellations made 45 days or less prior to arrival: Non-refundable.
• Unused Portions: Unused portions of purchased packages, including room stays, meals, boat transfers, and tours, are non-refundable.
• Force Majeure: Cancellations or early departures due to world events, flight delays/cancellations, weather conditions, strikes, or political unrest are subject to our cancellation policy.

• Recommended Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances, including cancellation fees, lost or damaged property, and medical expenses. (Recommendations: www.worldnomads.com, www.travelguard.com, DAN (Divers Alert Network)).
• Limit of Responsibility: Blue Marlin Beach Resort is not liable for delays or cancellations due to external events, nor for damages or losses resulting from services rendered or activities beyond our control.

• Welcome Children: Children of all ages are welcome, but our outdoor adventure setting is best suited for those aged 7 and older.
• Accommodation: Children may share their parents' room using existing bedding. Family-friendly units include the Seafront Family Cabana, Garden Family Suite, and Seaview Room Lower Level.
• Rates: Child rates apply for ages 3-10, teenager rates for 11-15, and adult rates for 16+. Children 2 and under stay free.
• Local Flights: Children occupying individual seats on local flights pay full price.
• Kid's Program: We do not offer a hotel kid's program; parents should plan recreational activities. Kid-friendly on-site activities include Dock Patrol, Bird Watching, Island Walk, Bubblemaker for Kids (8+), and Discover Scuba (10+).

• Safety First: All snorkel and dive trips are conducted with licensed guides and captains.
• Equipment: Snorkel gear is provided; dive equipment is available for rent. Personal gear is recommended.
• Certification: Divers must be certified by an accredited agency.
• Waivers: All participants must sign waivers and medical disclosures.
• Weather: Trips are rarely canceled due to weather; rescheduling is attempted when possible.
• Respect Nature: Touching or removing marine life is strictly prohibited.

• Energy Conservation: We encourage using natural ventilation and turning off AC when leaving the room.
• Water Conservation: We use rainwater reserves and saltwater toilets; please conserve water and electricity.
• Plastic-Free: We support Belize's ban on single-use plastics; please bring reusable water bottles.
• Reef-Safe Products: We recommend using reef-safe sunscreen and insect repellent.
